21st July- Arrive Barnaul - take helicopter flight to Ak-em. Take a flight round Mount Belukha to land beside Ak-em Lake
We rest and take saunas beside the ice cold lake that makes for a great refresher between saunas!
22nd July - Early morning Yoga beside the still lake. After breakfast trip to the Ak-em Wall glacier or depending on the weather, the Seven Lakes. Sauna in the evening. Camp fire tales and legends shared.
23rd July - Early morning Yoga beside Ak-em Lake. After breakfast trip to the Ak-em Wall glacier or depending on the weather, the Seven Lakes. For those not wishing to make the trek there are ample small walking wonders around the lake and valley
24th July - Early morning Yoga beside the still lake. After breakfast trip to the the Valley of the Mother of the World and visit to Sacred circle that is honouring Nicholai Roerich.
25th July - We leave on horseback to return to Tungur. We pitch camp beside the white waters of the Kucherla River.
26th July - We leave early after breakfast and arive in Tungur at the Visodnik Camp mid afternoon. Here we spend the night and rest and sauna,
Yoga or T'ai Chi before heading off the next day for Mongolia.
27th July - We take the buses and leave Tungur for Aktash. On the way we stop at the Nicholai Roerich Museum. Then on to Ust Kan .We visit one of the Altai's great Shamen (Kam). A delightful out of this world Shaman, Arjan, on the way to our night stop in Aktash.
28th-29th July we stay in Aktash and are able to travel to beautiful mountain lakes in the area. Sauna in the evening for those that wish.
30th July - We leave early for the Mongolian border and braving the vagueries of Russian/Mongolian border controls, we arrive in Bayan Ulge, our first pot of call in Mongolia and then head into the mountains of Mongolian Altai to reach our Yurts in the village of Altai.


31st - Early morning yoga for those who wish and a trip round the area. In the afternoon we can experience a local Naadan and feast in the evening. There wil also be a ceremony to herald the next day's full solar eclipse.
1st August - We climb towards the peaks around 4000 metres and prepare to witness the solar eclipse in the late afternoon. Then back to camp
2nd -3rd August We travel toward the Chinese border and camp close to the border.
4th August We leave Mongolia and travel back toward Barnaul. We visit ancient petroglyphs and sacred sites on the way. Stay the night in Ails before continuing on to Barnaul.
5th August - Arrive in Barnaul and shop for those who wish.
6th August - We fly from Barnaul to Moscow where we spend most of the day before flying in the evening to London
Because of the trajectory of the 2008 eclipse we will have between a 40-95% chance of clear view.
